If you are figuring out how to select best laptop for you then you have came to a right place. Before selecting a laptop you should have a Price range. Laptops can be categorised into three category, i.e. Normal Laptop, 2 in one Laptop (convertable laptop), Gaming Laptop. so you need to decide which type of laptop best suits you.

If you want to do heavy task in you laptop like graphics designing, gaming etc then you should go with gaming laptop. If your task is normal like simple photo editing, typing, etc then you can go with the normal one. If you want to use convertable laptop then, only choose it if you use its convertable feature.

Thing to be noted when you buy a new laptop:

Processor

Storage

RAM

Graphics card

Display

Battery

Others

1. Processor

There are two options for choosing the processor one is Intel and the other is AMD. In this case you can choose anyone because both are good.

Core/Ryzen

Incase of Intel you will need to check the core like i3,i5,i7,i9 there are more options in intel like Pentium but its 2021 so you can start to buy from at least i3. Incase of AMD there is Ryzen 3,5,7,9. Increase in number is proportional to better performance. You also need to keep an eye in the generation or series. In case of Intel its like 7th gen, 8th gen processor and so on. In case of Ryzen you will get the series like 3000, 4000, 5000 etc series. so increase in generation is also directly proportional to increase in performance of processor. Also you need to see the number of cores like 2,4,6,8 cores.

Clock Speed

The clock speed is written in frequency like 2.4 GHz, 4.2 GHz and so on. The more the frequency more better the processor.

How To compare any two Processor?

If you want to compare any two processor then you can easily compare between them with the help of Benchmark.

2. Storage

In today generation storage can be seen of three types i.e. SSD only, SSD + HDD, HDD only. SSD is Solid State Drive which is very fast then HDD if compared. For example if you boot your laptop, then in SSD your laptop will boot in around 8-10 seconds whereas if you are using HDD then it may take upto a minute to boot the system. So the recommended choose is to use SSD + HDD. In this case you can save your photos/videos in HDD and keep all your system file in the SSD storage this helps to make your laptop fast.

3. RAM

RAM can be seen in many variants like 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB and so on. If you need to do heavy task in it then you must go with at least 8 GB but I recommend you to go with 16 GB. And if you are a normal user then 4-8 GB ram is enough. The frequency of RAM also depends upon the performance like 2666 MHz,3200 Mhz and so on.

The memory channel is also important in RAM. There are two types of channel i.e. Single channel and Dual channel. For example in case of 8 GB RAM, If there is 1 RAM of 8GB then it works on single channel and if there are 2 ram each of 4 GB connected then it is called Dual channel. The speed is better in dual channel as compared to the single channel.

4. Graphics Card

There are two types of graphics i.e. Integrated Graphics and Dedicated Graphics. Integrated graphics is that graphics which is in built in your processor. In case of Intel, You will see UHD Graphics and Intel Iris Xe Graphics. And in case of AMD you will see Radeon Vega Graphics.

For the Dedicated Graphics, Laptop only supports the NVIDIA Graphics and does not support the AMD graphics. The graphics which are used for normal laptops are like MX350, MX450 etc. and for Gaming Laptops you will see like GTX and RTX series. You can also compare which graphics is better from here.

5. Display and Battery

The first thing you should keep in mind while buying the laptop is its display size. It may be 14, 16 inch etc. Check the Ips and go with at least FHD display. 1920*1080 is called Full HD. In case of battery check the cell and the watt hr of that battery.
